The SRE Maxi has finally arrived and is on the factory floor awaiting installation by the install team in the next couple of days. The large format short run box machine is the ultimate in large cardboard box manufacture. Coupled with the FPU printing unit, it will greatly expand our capabilities. Its been a long time coming, including the 8 month machine build time but Gopfert technicians should arrive next week to commence the installation and commissioning. Provision has been made for power, air plumbing and waste to ensure a speedy installation, and we look forward to being able to provide an even faster, and more economical cardboard packaging service.
Due to the phyiscal size of the machine, it had to be transported in open top containers. The machinery was expertly packed and protected from the elements.
Things were a little tense when the print unit came up and over, but its now safely on the floor, and ready for installation.
The separate units of the SRE can be seen here laid out on the floor. It is a formidable machine, and there is an array of components and tooling. It will take 2 experienced technicians with the aid of our factory fitter almost 2 weeks to install and commission the machine.
